New Year’s Eve, an upcoming romantic comedy film, is the latest installment in an ongoing franchise of holiday films. Set up differently than most conventional movies, New Year’s Eve tells its story through a series of mini-story’s, each featuring different actors. As the mold goes, normally in the end, the stories all wrap up into one revealing an appropriate conclusion.
Featuring a laundry list of celebrities, the setting takes place in the, “Big Apple” around one of the most celebrated times of the year- New Year’s! Everybody’s got their issues; Jensen (Jon Bon Jovi) a successful rock star meets with a former, frigid ex-girlfriend (Katherine Heigl), Tess (Jessica Biel) and her boyfriend (Seth Meyers) are blessed with a baby on the most hectic day of the year, and Ingrid (Michelle Pfeiffer) is an unfilled executive who asks a young man (Zac Efron) for help.
Directed by Gary Marshall, who also directed the Valentine’s Day vignette sibling to New Year’s Eve, this film promises each mini-story will bring its own unique flair to the table. With Robert De Niro, Josh Duhamel, Lea Michele, Halle Berry, and Ashton Kutcher, New Year’s Eve ensures some brilliant acting and equally colorful storylines.
