The Avengers, an upcoming 2012 superhero movies, has been the talk of town among Marvel fans for half a decade, as movies have been released almost each year following each character’s beginnings with the exception of Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). The action-packed movie will be released just in time for summer movie-goers.
S.H.I.E.L.D., an international peacekeeping organization, headed by director Nicky Furry (Samuel L. Jackson), must organize a team immediately to combat a growing threat to global security. Having already made the acquaintance of the entire team as they first got their starts in vigilante justice, Furry knows exactly where to find them.
When Furry finally tracks down his team, he has the capabilities of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow, and Hawkeye of at his disposal. With their super powers and unrivaled wit, they take on the nemesis Loki (Tom Hiddleton) guns abalzing.
Directed by Josh Wheldon, The Avengers will be the sixth installment for Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film has been the Marvel brainchild for over 6 six years, first receiving a grant from wealth management company Merill Lynch in 2005. A culmination of a saga that has lasted almost seven years (and successfully at that), this should be the superhero movie of the year.
