Ice Age 4: Continental Drift, a 2012 computer animated comedy, will be released this year in mid-July as the fourth installment of the Ice Age franchise and the second to use Digital 3D animation. The rave cast including Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott and Josh Peck.
Several years after the Dawn of the Dinosaurs, poor little Scrat’s lifelong dream of catching the acorn has yet to come to fruition as he still chases down the little nut. This time though, he ambitions have a big impact on the rest of the gang as it takes on them a whole new adventure.
Sid finally reunites with his long lost family while on his trek and meets Shira, a potential love-interest for the fanatic feline. While the times are changing (as well as the earth), the group must find their way home, even if that means crossing moving continents or fighting rogue pirates.
Directed by Steve Martino and Mike Thurmeier, Ice Age 4: Continental Drift is slated for a July 13th release this year, just in time for summer as the kids are well into their vacation breaks. With the commercial success of the last three movies, the series has become an American film staple and seems poise for more success.
