Hello I Must Be Going

Men aren’t the only ones who have mid-life crises. In fact, in Hello I Must Be Going, 35-year-old Amy Minsky (Melanie Lynskey from “Two and a Half Men”) finds that her life has been turned upside down. After being dumped by the husband she loved, a very demoralized Amy moves back in to the suburban Connecticut home of her self-absorbed parents, Ruth (Blythe Danner) and Stan (John Rubinstein).

Still trying to recover from her divorce, Amy finds herself without a husband, children, career or prospects – facts that her parents keep throwing in her face. Just when Amy’s patience and self-esteem seem to hit a low, Jeremy (Christopher Abbot), the 19-year-old son of the potential client that Stan is trying to court, unexpectedly makes a pass at her.

What follows is an unlikely love affair that transpires right under the noses of the couples’ very unsuspecting parents. The affair jumpstarts Amy’s passion for life and helps her rediscover her long-lost sense of purpose. Hello I Must Be Going is an unconventional love story that one knows is not meant to last.

Written by Sarah Koskof and directed by Todd Louiso, Hello I Must Be Going is set for a limited release in New York and Los Angeles on September 7, 2012, by Oscilloscope Laboratories. Rated R for language and sexual content, the romantic comedy also features Julie White and Dan Futterman.
